BOARD

Brad Bartlett

Mr. Bartlett’s career spans over 20 years in the high technology industry in executive and managerial roles in finance and operations for Compaq Computer Corporation and Texas Instruments, followed by establishing and managing two start-up franchises. Along with his corporate and business experience are nearly two decades of active service with a variety of charitable causes that provide for the needy and underprivileged in the local community. Brad Bartlett is a founding Board member of Resale with a Purpose. He currently serves as president.

Jason Arcemont

With over 15 years of marketing experience Mr. Arcemont has spent his professional career helping not only his clients build their businesses but his own as well. His passion for business development and ability to gain results has placed his companies at the top of the Inc 500 list multiple times. Resale with a Purpose allows him to offer his marketing skills as well as nurture his desire to lead by His word.

Brett Bortnem

Brett Bortnem serves as the Executive Director at Salem Lutheran Church in Tomball, TX. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and will be completing his MBA in Nonprofit Management through Concordia University in 2018. As a Director of Christian Education for the past 13 years, he has been in Student Ministry for most of that time and in 2017 moved to his current position. He is married to Lauren, who owns her own business and runs a non-profit called Impact 29:11, which provides behavioral services for children with developmental delays. They also have two children that keep them busy during any thoughts of having down time! In ministry, Brett enjoys the challenges brought about each day of leading in a large organization and caring for the 140 staff that are on the team. In his free-time, he enjoys projects around the house, watching the Texas A&M Aggies play just about any sport, and getting in a good workout.

Bruce Hillegeist

President, Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce (1994-2018). Bruce Hillegeist was born in Tomball Community Hospital to Arleah Bruce Hillegeist and the late Roy Hillegeist. A fifth generation Texan whose descendants immigrated to Texas through Indianola from the Black Forest region of Germany in 1842, Bruce is a lifetime resident of the Rose Hill and Tomball communities and is a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church. He is an alumnus of Tomball Lutheran School (’74), Tomball High School (’78) and Sam Houston State University (’82) and a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management, as well as Leadership North Houston. Bruce was named Tomball Citizen of the Year in 1994 and presided as president of the Texas Chamber of Commerce Executives in 2010. At this time, Bruce is a member of the Tomball Regional Medical Center board of directors and a board member of the Tomball Pregnancy Center. He is also a supporter of various other area civic and charity organizations in the greater Tomball community.

Joni Bartlett

Mrs. Bartlett has over 20 years experience in the corporate environment with a financial and managerial background. She worked for Compaq Computer Corporation for 10 years and in real estate development and management for 10+ years. Through her career she was responsible for the accounting and reporting of many diverse businesses which include a high tech company, title company, country club, landfill and numerous land development and property management ventures. She has a passion to help the needy and underprivileged. Since her retirement, she has worked on numerous charitable projects that rally the community, churches and businesses to help and support others.

Amber Arcemont

With a mind for numbers and a generous heart, Amber Arcemont is a perfect fit for the board of Resale with a Purpose. As an accountant, Amber understands the need to control business costs and expenses. Only now she’s not just protecting profits, but changing people’s lives. Amber’s faith, family, and friendship inspire her to contribute all she can to the Tomball community.

Larry Chatman

Larry Chatman is a Vietnam Veteran and currently a Director with Keating Auto Group. He and his wife Paula have 5 Adult children and 9 grandchildren (1 more due in December) He loves his community and stays active. He serves on many boards surrounding the community. He is a 29 year member of Gideons International and is serving as the President of the Tomball Camp, he is currently serving on the HCA Hospital Board of Directors, Tomagwa Governance Board, Central North District of United Methodist Board of the Bishop, Greater Tomball Area Pachyderm as the President, National Board of Directors for Arrow Child and Family Ministries, Christian Business Luncheon Board, Larry takes part in community events with the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, as a Ambassador, also President of Holly Creek POA. Larry is a member of the Veteran Rotary Club, and has held many positions with Rose Hill United Methodist Church where He is a active member and his Wife Paula is the Pianist . Both Larry and Paula were recently awarded the Community Builder Award for their distinguished service and personal contributions to the community of Tomball Texas.

EMERITUS BOARD

Bob Baldwin

Mr. Baldwin is one of Resale with a Purpose’s founding board members and serves as Treasurer of the ministry. A 20-year resident of Tomball with his wife Cathie, Bob’s local business, TWAN Development LLC, is involved in property investment, development and management, and water and waste treatment operations. Earlier in his career, he was an executive with an international energy company, a college economics professor and a career Army officer. Bob is a graduate of West Point (B.S. engineering) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Ph.D., economics).

God’s Hand in Blessing Our Community

HISTORY

A group of volunteers, caring about family values and needs of the community decided to use their experiences, time and talents to earn monies to give back to the people and local ministries of the Greater Tomball area. Our goal is to provide ongoing funds for community needs without asking for financial contributions or engaging in additional fundraising activities. To achieve this purpose we opened a non-profit resale shop called Resale with a Purpose. We are not open to earn a profit for ourselves. The purpose is to give the proceeds from the sale of your donated items back to the ministries directly helping those in need within the greater Tomball area.

Since founding, we have helped provide consistent and growing financial support to over Twenty local ministries. In addition, we have helped many other organizations with cash and noncash support.
